This sand guard is specially designed for the FMS 10702 (4074) and primarily prevents larger stones from entering the chassis and jamming the center differential gears. The original chassis does not have pre-drilled holes, making it easy for sand and stones to accumulate around the differential.
It installs non-destructively and has a simple structure. After assembly, it can be secured inside the chassis frame on both sides using cable ties.
The central metal mesh comes with a removable backing plate. You can choose whether to install it based on your needs: leaving it off improves ventilation and cooling, while installing it enhances dust protection.
